Banate, Iloilo, Philippines[edit]

Banate, a coastal town of Iloilo Province on the island of Panay, Western Visayas, the Philippines, is a fourth class municipality with a population of about 32,532 people based on 2015 census and a total area of 102.89 km2 (39.73 sq mi). The Town of Banate is situated along the coast 51 kilometers (32 mi) north of the provincial capital City of Iloilo, approximately one hour travel by road through Iloilo East Coast Road. The town is bounded by the town of Barotac Viejo to the north, town of Anilao to the south, town of San Enrique to the west and town of Dingle to the southwest. Banate-De Lapaz-San Enrique-Passi Road, a major crosstown road links the town with San Enrique and Passi City.
