One of the two protypes of Bugatti 45 two-seater racing equipped with a 3.9-liters 16-cylinder engine with two 8-cylinder parallel benches, an architecture abandoned due to numerous breaks in the central coupling pinion between the two crankshafts. Solution also fitted to the single prototype 47 Grand Sport but in 3 liters.
