Dolní Kralovice is relative young municipality, founded in 1970. It lies in Central Bohemia, district (okres) Benešov. Its history connect to history of afloated historical town, which laid 4 km northward in the valley of Želivka river. The town was demolished in 1974 through constructing of Švihov water reservoir, which supplies Prague by drinking water. New municipality has population of 911.
