English: The England House in 283 Papanui Road, Christchurch, was built for prominent Christchurch architect Edward Herbert England in 1925. This magnificent Elizabethal Revival style home of two storeys in brick, roughcast slate roof and timber was designed by Eddie England, the younger brother of England Bros. It sits in a mature garden and has had but a handful of owners ever since. The fifth owners have been there since 1973. The building is registered as a Category II heritage building by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, with registration number 1884.
