Classé le 5 décembre 1908 alors qu'il était dans l'église Saint Mansuy de Toul; cette église ayant été détruite par un incendie en 1980, il fut transféré au Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Toul en 2004 pour y être restauré puis placé en décembre 2012 dans la cathédrale.
