The Shiva temple at Pandrethan, also called the Paani temple, is a 10th-century Hindu monument. Made from stone, it has a square plan and sits inside a square water tank. It was abandoned for many centuries and was in ruins during the colonial era. Early survey reports noted the high quality of Hindu artwork inside the temple. The temple recently been silted put, excavated, cleaned up and provided with a bridge. The entrance lalatabimba has an image of Lakulisa which confirms that this was originally a Siva temple. The walls have impressive bas-reliefs. The best carvings are on the ceiling inside the sanctum.

Excavations around the water tank have unearthed Shiva, Vishnu and Devi tradition artwork, which suggests that this monument was likely a part of much larger complex. Some of the items found are now on display nearby in a small park, along with broken Shiva lingas found during excavations in different parts of Srinagar.
