English: Nasiruddin Humayun (Persian: نصيرالدين همايون) (March 6, 1508 – February 22, 1556), was the second Mughal Emperor who ruled much of modern Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the northern parts of India from 1530–1540 and again from 1555–1556. Like his father Babur, Humayun lost his kingdom early, but eventually regained it with aid from Persia.
