English: The Kettle River Formation is an early Eocene (Ypresian) geologic formation that records the sedimentation near the southern end of a string of highland subtropical/Temperate lakes in Washington state and British Columbia called the Eocene Okanagan Highlands. The formation is known for well preserved compression plant calcified wood fossils.
