Lightpath, or "Te Ara I Whiti" in Maori, is the central and most prominent section of the Nelson Street Cycleway. It is built on a former motorway off-ramp, and is famous for its bold pink surfacing, as well as the remote-controllable light pylons. Lightpath / Te Ara I Whiti, also known as the Canada Street Bridge, is the southernmost part of the Nelson Street Cycleway, and leads from Canada Street, via a "snaky" boardwalk / bridge section, onto the most famous section of the cycleway, Lightpath.
