English: The Lighthouse at Machias Seal Island is located on a remote treeless, 15-acre, granite island in the Bay of Fundy. The octagonal structure is distinguished by a classically arranged base, a tapered shaft and capital. A metal lantern surmounts the flared top of the shaft.
Français : Le phare à l’île Machias Seal se trouve sur un îlot de granit dénudé et isolé de 15 acres dans la baie de Fundy. Le bâtiment octogonal se distingue par la conception classique de sa base, de son fût effilé et de son chapiteau. La lanterne de métal repose sur le sommet évasé du fût.
