العربية: مْسَلاتَة (بتسكين الميم وفتح السين وتشديد اللام) مدينة تقع في شمال غرب ليبيا على مسافة 130 كيلومتر تقريباً شرق طرابلس. على خط عرض: '37 °32 شمال وخط طول: '0 °14 شرق، وترتفع مدينة مسلاتة المركز(القصبات) عن مستوى سطح البحر 198 متر.
English: Msallata (also Al Qasabat, Cussabat and El-Gusbát) is a city in the northwestern part of Libya, in Al Murgub District. It has a population of nearly 55,000, and was historically a center of Islamic studies. It is also known for olive tree farming and olive oil production. The Tripolian Republic was announced in Msallata 16 November 1918 which was the first republic in the Arab world.
