English: According to the Asia Harvest estimation in 2020, of the entire population (688,287) in Santai County (under the administration of Mianyang, northern Sichuan), 3.36% (23,126) identified themselves as Protestants, including house church Protestants (source: Christians in China stats — Sichuan.). Protestantism was introduced into Santai (formerly known as Tungchwan) in 1887 and again in 1894 by Quaker missions of the Friends' Foreign Mission Association (FFMA). Santai Mission became the largest mission branch of FFMA's Northern District, which was organized as the Santai Monthly Meeting.
