English: Hungarian Reformed Church in Óbuda. The oldest Reformed church in Budapest was built in 1786 on the foundation walls of the mediaeval royal/reginal castle. A single nave and single tower church. His parish was designed by architect Mr. Károly Kós (1883-1977) in Hungarian Secession style. The present church tower erected in 1880s. In 1908-1909 the new parsonage building was constructed next to the church. During the construction work, the ruins of the mediaeval royal castle were partially excavated, and then reburied. - Kálvin János köz, Budapest District III. Source: Obuda tourism (PDF).

Magyar: Óbudai református templom, épült 1786-ban. Parókiáját Kós Károly tervezte magyar szecessziós stílusban. A református templom parókiájának építése során tárták fel az Óbudán a XI–XIV. században épített középkori vár maradványait. A királyi vár síkföldi vár volt, melyet kettős fallal körülvett árok határolt. A tatárjárás után az óbudai vár szerepe csökkent. A vár a török hódítás után lakatlanná vált. A református templom pincéjében a vár alapfalának darabja előzetes bejelentkezés alapján tekinthető meg. Az 1796-ban épült parókiát 1908-1909-ben Kós Károly 1904-ben készített terveivel és felügyeletével újjáépítették, azonban az épületet a két világháború között gyülekezeti terem és irodai célokat szolgáló helyiségek kialakítása miatt átalakították. — Budapest III.
