English: Templand is a village in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, a few kilometers northwest of Lockerbie. Its name suggests it was at one point owned by the Templars. Templand was also owned by Clan Jardine but its biggest expansion came with the Industrial Reveloution. When the Nearby sandstone quarry (Corncockle Quarry) was built it became home to many Quarry workers.
