English: West Midlands Travel was the brand used by West Midlands Travel Ltd from its creation in 1986 to take over the WMPTE bus operations (see Category:West Midlands Travel Ltd) until a rebranding in 1996 as Travel West Midlands - see Category:Travel West Midlands (bus company). Prior to the creation of West Midlands Travel Ltd, WMPTE's buses wore West Midlands fleetnames and a WM logo in a square typeface, with the W and M sharing the centre vertical, and with arrows departing each side as a conitinuation of the type. The new company immediately changed the fleetname to West Midlands Travel. For its logo, it kept the concept of a conjoined 'WM', but restyled it in a diagonal font, and dropping the arrow heads. The livery used initially remained the same blue & cream as that used by WMPTE, but this gradually changed over the years with various schemes that used silver/grey instead of cream, as well as adopting red horizontal relief lines. In 1994 the fleetname was also simplified to just WM Buses in some cases, retaining the logo style.
