This is a stub project to collect and create encyclopedia of moss flora in Indonesia. The inventory is important because, Indonesia is rich in biodiversity, as all the 3,000 different moss species in the world are also found in Indonesia. As a stub of big project, I started from the collection of moss flora in Yogyakarta. All mosses information found in Yogyakarta includes photos then will be uploaded to Wikipedia website. With displayed on the web, to be expected the researchers in other parts of the world could study too.

One difficulty in the inventory of plants in Indonesia is that many species have not been collected and identified from many areas. By sharing information through the wiki sites, to be expected both professional and amateur biologists from each region can complement, update and contributed to the data collection of moss plants. Both amateurs and professionals can help observe and gather plants on their environment, as has been done by the amateur bird watchers who have contributed very much to the data distribution of birds in the United States and Europe. South Africa also held an ant research project, which involved 3,000 students from 13 high schools.

I would try to take photos of moss plants as detailed as possible. Photographs of plants in their fresh state is very useful for taxonomists because the original color and certain parts still identifiable and clearly visible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bramadiarya (talk • contribs)

@Bramadiarya and Basile Morin: which project we are talking about?--Estopedist1 (talk) 19:24, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This text above is not my contribution. As said here, I just moved it from its wrong place in the category. Regards -- Basile Morin (talk) 20:26, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
