Can't be Chlorostilbon auriceps if the picture is from Ecuador.--Earwig (talk) 19:11, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Earwig: - if you look at the Flickr source file, it is tagged Chiapas, Mexico, despite Ecuador in the filename. But that's still out of range for C. auriceps, so I've moved the two files (full size, and crop) to Cat:Unidentified Chlorostilbon. Any thoughs as to what species it is? - MPF (talk) 18:14, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MPF: Probably male Chlorostilbon canivetii osberti.--Earwig (talk) 18:36, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Earwig: excellent, thanks! Same conclusion I'd just come to (at least to species, I didn't attempt subsp ID!). I'll rename the files later, tho' its a bit complex as that whole group of Chlorostilbon species have recently been transferred to Cynanthus - MPF (talk) 18:43, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
