Structure in this Category[edit]

@Michael Barera: I copy back the Category:Backs of Curt Teich postcards in the Archive. Also I rename the category in Category:Backs of postcards in Curt Teich Postcard Archives. Because not all postcards in the Archive are from "Curt Teich & Company". Mr. Teich collect this postcards. So many postcards in this archive from Category:Raphael Tuck & Sons. I want make a better structure in this archive. Maybe

That works for me, Stefan Kühn. I think what you propose is probably the best approach. It also makes it more clear that there are postcards from multiple publishers in the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, which I didn't initially realize, and I'm sure others would incorrectly assume because of the category name. Would it be possible just to have something like Category:Postcards published by Curt Teich & Company and then put it in this category without explicitly saying it's part of the Curt Teich Postcard Archives in the categories name? I guess there's probably postcards published by Curt Teich & Company on here that aren't part of the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, but it would be a lot easier that way regardless. Otherwise, eventually there will be super obtuse categories like Category:Postcards of hotels in the United States published by Curt Teich & Company in Curt Teich Postcard Archives by location or whatever. --Adamant1 (talk) 06:57, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamant1: I think we should have tree categories for this problem:
I would not create a category like Category:Postcards of hotels in the United States published by Curt Teich & Company in Curt Teich Postcard Archives by location. But both categories (publisher and collection) would be very large. Maybe for better management we have to separate this bigger categories in smaller categories. Many postcards in this archive have no good categories. But nobody will check all images in a category with over 10.000 images. --sk (talk) 11:57, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
