There seems to be an edit war between several users about Category:Former Rittergüter in Poland parent category: User:Tohma and User:Tm think it was and one or more IP's think it was not. Rittergüter seems to be a term used for manors used by German nobility. According to the writeup about the manor found in pl:Waplewo Wielkie and pl:Muzeum Tradycji Szlacheckiej w Waplewie Wielkim articles the current building of the manor was build by Jan Rogala Biberstein Zawadzki, and than inherited by Sierakowski family and stayed in that family until WWII. See last owners here. Jan Rogala Biberstein Zawadzki might have been German nobility, but Sierakowski family probably was not. Is Category:Former Rittergüter in Poland category being added based on current manor or some previous one? Was Jan Rogala Biberstein Zawadzki German nobility? --Jarekt (talk) 19:21, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

http://books.google.de/books?id=OJzJh52ww_AC&pg=PA136 We had this IP-vandalism more than once.--Tohma (talk) 09:46, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I do not read German and can not cut and paste the text to Google translate. I worked with this IP before (or some IP interested in Category:Former Rittergüter in Poland) and he/she asked me to check on this edit war, so I am trying to understand the issues. I also do not know much about the subject. From those 2 messages left on my talk page it seems like IP has 2 issues:
  • That the manor was always in the Sierakowski family - which does not seem to the the case. The estate was Rittergüter before current manor was build and might have been during the life of the first owner
  • Category:Former Rittergüter in Poland should be only added to graphics from the era when it belonged to German families, not to the whole Category, and especially not modern photographs of the museum. I do not agree with that. I think all the photographs are of the property that is a former Rittergüter, although I am not sure about the current building and if we ever divide the category into building and the estate (grounds), the category might go just with the estate.

No. Pictures of the 19th century don't show "Former Rittergüter in Poland". On these pictures are "Rittergüter (in Germany)". Only past WWII pictures show "Former Rittergüter in Poland".--Tohma (talk) 15:52, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
