@Joshbaumgartner: Why so complicated?

In my opinion it is wrong to use disambiguation pages for this. Or are there several Berlins with "Science and technology"?

There ist Category:Science and technology ... with

• Science and technology by continent‎ (14 K)
• Science and technology by country‎ (185 K)

I see no consensus and no need to change that? There are more important problems in commons.

And: Berlin is a city AND a state of Germany!

@Joshbaumgartner: In this case i have seen your last edits... Will you delete worldwide the "Science and technology" categories? Only keep "Science" and "Technology" separate?

There was a topic in "categories for discussion" about this case that I hadn't noticed?

@Triplec85: The only deletions at the moment are those that are empty, which are speedies. However, at this time, I am not deleting "science and technology" categories at large, but instead retaining them either as a redirect (if only a "science" or "technology" category exists) or dab (if both exist). I believe this was discussed in an older CfD to sort down all contents to "science" and/or "technology" as appropriate but retain the "science and technology" category page as an entry point. If in the future we were to decide to go ahead and delete those redirects/dabs, I would be supportive of that, but could be convinced to retain them as well. But that is for the future--I am not proposing that at this time. Josh (talk) 15:12, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
