Category:Fritters by country

[edit]

Now we have "fries by country" both here and in Category:Fritters by country. I'm kind of ashamed to open new CfDs but people are not bored of making duplicate or unnecessarily parallel categorization. Is there a subtle difference between "fried" and "deep fried" here, although I cannot see that by the present classification? Please find a way to reconcile "fritter" and "stir fry" cats. Josh, do you cook? You know how to cut the cake. Help here also please. --E4024 (talk) 21:06, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@E4024: I am far from expert on food definitions, but if there is a difference worth maintaining between fried and deep-fried, then the later is a sub set of the first. As for where fritters fits into the mix, I have no idea. Josh (talk) 21:15, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@E4024: I am not sure why you posted discussion about fritters here. I'd say stir fry has nothing to do with frying. Frying something means boiling a lot of oil in a container and submerge food in it. Stir frying something is to spray some oil into woks, put food in it and keep stirring the food. I didnt know what fritters are, but English wikipedia tells me they are meat/vegetables wrapped in dough and fried.--Roy17 (talk) 19:03, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
