@Tournasol7: All the images in this category should be renamed, because they aren't about the Former church of Our Lady of Villegailhenc but about the new church, Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption de Villegailhenc. Mérimée templates should be removed, too.--Pere prlpz (talk) 22:42, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Tournasol7: we don't change file names, if building's function or name changes. About Merimee templates, I noticed there: Category talk:Base Mérimée--Estopedist1 (talk) 05:47, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The problem isn't about changing function or names of building. The problem is that those photographs are of church that is not the protected one. The protected church changed its function more than a century ago, and the new one has a different name.--Pere prlpz (talk) 18:04, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Estopedist1: That is, the problem is just a misidentified building.--Pere prlpz (talk) 20:19, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Pere prlpz: if these files depicts wrong object with wrong file names, then use {{Disputed fact}} and later we can start file renaming process. File's uploader is user:Tournasol7--Estopedist1 (talk) 05:07, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ping Peter17 who previously moved the category and removed template Mérimée: Special:Diff/336338372. Same should be done with the files. --V.Riullop (talk) 17:16, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Pere prlpz, Vriullop, Tournasol7, and Peter17: indeed, there is something very wrong here. But these 3 images should indeed be renamed and Merimee template removed (@Estopedist1: is disputed fact really needed here? this is obvious and clear this is the new church and not the former) but the category (about the former or new church?), Wikipedia article (clearly about the former church but with photo of the new one) and Wikidata item (now about the new church?) should also be checked and corrected to remove all mix-up. Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 10:47, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have attached the fr:Wikipedia article to the right Wikidata item ancienne église Notre-Dame de Villegailhenc (Q60385065) (it was previously attached to Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption de Villegailhenc (Q3580701)). Yes, the files should be renamed and the Mérimée template removed from them. Renaming the files is allowed by criterion #3: Commons:File renaming. -- Peter17 (talk) 11:17, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done I think all is good now, thanks everyone. Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 18:45, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
