- @Vikassy: 1500 edits/min is way way way too fast. May I suggest you read Commons:Bots#Bot_speed, and revise the request acordingly, especially if you don't have a bot flag? --Mdann52talk to me! 13:37, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
- What is purpose for this screenshots? Already uploaded files are still not used. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:15, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
- Why we need such a bot? --Steinsplitter (talk) 12:03, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
- I have updated the request. This bot is for uploading the cross-language screenshots for various user guide, which is a part of my GSOC project. We are currently working on VisualEditor user guide, but later it will be used by other User guides also. Some of the images which are already uploaded by this bot are being used in VisualEditor user guide (To see all the images, just change all language code(in this VisualEditor image's URL) i.e. from en to de/he/ia/cs/it/mk/ru/fa/fr ). Eg:French,Hebrew --Vikas S Yaligar (talk)
- Initially we were uploading in parallel(as screenshots were taken in parallel). Hence the count came up to 1500 (as 30 screenshots in 50 languages [in future]). But now we modified it to run in serial, hence 1 upload every 5 seconds. --Vikas S Yaligar (talk)
- Bot uses categories like English (weird for File:VisualEditor Toolbar SpecialCharacters-de.png :-), but Category:VisualEditor has language-specific subcategories. Will be good idea to use them. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:07, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you EugeneZelenko for this ! we have updated the code to use these subcategories. --Vikassy (talk) 13:21, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- Please repeat test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:16, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- We have uploaded many other screenshots(as a part of test run). --Vikassy (talk) 05:23, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

- How much files do you plan to upload in the next weeks/months/years? --Steinsplitter (talk) 15:37, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know what Vikassy wants to do, but I can help you calculate the upper limit of what could be done: mw:Help:VisualEditor/User guide contains about 70 images, and most of them are language-specific. Translations have been started for about 80 languages. Therefore, if you tried to do absolutely everything, you might reasonably expect 5,600 images to start (maybe over the course of one month). After that, I would assume that updates are necessary as software changes are made, but that these changes will not involve all images. On the other hand, some images may change more than once. So you might expect another 5,000 images a year after that. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:18, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

- Thank you Whatamidoing (WMF) for the calculating :) . I want to deploy these images in order of different languages, currently we are working on 3 languages[en, he, de]. You can checkout all screenshots in commons beta lab. We are planning to upload these for now, as a part of experiment. Later we will upload more images depending on percentage completion of translation in different languages. So finally it should end up with numbers similar to what Whatamidoing (WMF) has calculated. --Vikassy (talk) 12:51, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
If there are no objections, I think bot status should be granted. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:06, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
