- Support Well done, love the grid dissolves, wish I'd been able to make the group photo at Wikimania 2014 so I could have seen myself in this (at 1:30 or so). There's a credit for the music, right? Daniel Case (talk) 06:32, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Comment - Yes, well-done and still timely, but as a musician, I believe the composer of the music should be clearly identified in the credits in the video itself and don't feel right supporting this until that issue is addressed. I'm glad you pointed to that, Daniel. Was the composer identified in some small print I didn't see because there was writing all over the screen at that point? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:54, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Neutral I do not feel qualified to judge a video. --Medium69 You wanted talk to me? 12:26, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support per Daniel. --Tremonist (talk) 13:39, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Neutral Music loop is too short, powerpoint efect to slide pages, little information, no responsive design, fonts are not respected and in some cases impossible to read. Video and high-quality images, however, lack of concurrent design and way of representing it. Too many distractions in the background difficult to read the text. I'm sorry --The Photographer (talk) 16:11, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Very good points, especially about the text, but I agree on the music loop, too. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:00, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- About the text, are you watching the video at 1080p? If you simply fullscreen the image on Commons, the video plays at 480p, which is less than optimal for reading the text. --Pine✉ 20:30, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- How do you expect most people to view the video? Thanks for your response about the music credits. I'm undecided about the video now, though, because I think the criticisms are meritorious but there are also obvious good things about the video. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:45, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Ikan Kekek: It is indeed unfortunate that MediaWiki's handling of video is so clumsy, and I believe that WMF is working to improve it. In the meantime I suggest using VLC media player, or you can manually change the quality of the video using the settings in the bottom right corner of the fullscreen video when you play it on Commons. (: --Pine✉ 23:35, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Daniel Case: @Ikan Kekek: The music is identified in the credits. It is "Namaste" by Jason Shaw, and is licensed CC-BY 3.0. I found it here at freemusicarchive.org. --Pine✉ 20:31, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Good. I figured it was credited. One of the tricky things about video is that we have to be careful about copyright in the sounds as well as the image. Daniel Case (talk) 01:30, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination due to a copy-editing error being spotted. I'll need to re-render the video to fix it, and it may be quite awhile before I have the time to do that. --Pine✉ 19:11, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
