About the tail, because the scope is "sitting", I find quite logical that this part is not visible on the picture. But the body shape, the head and the front feet are. Perhaps an idea to nominate another image for the scope "seen from behind" ? -- Basile Morin (talk) 11:08, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Coypu and coypus are not quite identical, but anyway, this is the format used in VIC nominations, so insert the name. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:14, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I would support this picture as best in scope once the scope is agreed on. It looks like this is its only competition, but that's a picture of a baby coypu (best in scope for that) and probably not as useful as a photo of a sitting coypu. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:20, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
From Wikipedia, there are two common names in English : 1) Coypu, 2) Nutria. Shall we mention all of them in the scopes ? -- Basile Morin (talk) 05:27, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
IMO, no. One is sufficient. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:30, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Support. Lothar, are you OK with the scope change? (According to the rules, when scopes are changed, opposing votes are still valid but supporting votes are cancelled unless they are reaffirmed. Though actually, with such a minor scope change, I don't think the rule is operative, really.) -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:08, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK for me. -- Lothar Spurzem (talk) 16:23, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Result: 2 support, 1 oppose =>
promoted. -- DeFacto (talk). 17:55, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
