Scope Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope:
Fryderyk Chopin (ship)
Used in Global usage
Reason I think it is the best photo of the ship available. I should mention though that File:Fryderyk Chopin.JPG has the plus that here it has its sails up, but that photo is not geocoded. -- Slaunger (talk)

  •  Question The geocoding would stop the other image from gettint the VI in another scope? I believe this could be categorized as Fryderyk Chopin (ship) with sails up. Flávio "Maddox" go! 15:01, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Not sure I fully understand the question? If you find, as a reviewer, that the photo with the sails up is better than the nominated image (although not geocoded), it is perfectly OK to oppose this nomination. I do not think a subscope with sails up would be accepted. Concerning geocoding it may actually not make much sense anyhow for sailing ships as the exact location is not normally known unless the photo itself is geotagged when captured. I think that for ships sailing it should be enough with a regional description in words of the approximate location (within, say 1 km, in a littoral environment, when there are some landmarks in the background, less precise in open sea). --Slaunger (talk) 20:30, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
