Description
English: 'Panther' was built in 1884 for the Austro-Hungarian navy. She was the first ship to be built at Armstrong's Elswick shipyard. This photograph shows the launch, at which Armstrong himself was present. He is standing on the platform wearing a top next to the lady in the white blouse.
