Принадлежит к, увы, почти забытым ярким представителям поколения первых выпускников Государственного техникума кинематографии.

Ученик основоположников советского киноискусства сам по себе представлял особое течение в советском кино 1930-х годов. Но судьба большинства ГТК-овцев сложилась трагически. Так произошло и с Познанским.
