粗面の砂岩又は凝灰岩の兩面に刻んだ神秘的な喇嘛の佛像で、喇嘛寺の附近や路傍、時には峠の上に設けられた一種の道祖神とも見らるべきものだ。旅行者は必ず臺座の處へ三度叩頭するのを例とする。｜一面は溫和な菩薩、裏面は狂猛な秘佛が彫られてゐる。これは騎獅の菩薩だ。｜（一九三〇撮影）（印畫の複製を禁ず）
