狐仙の碑 （關東州）

金州城の東南隅靈神廟に接して狐仙の墓壹基ありその墓碑銘に曰く｜攷自窵古近今。凡宇宙靈秀之粍鐘毓於人則為聖為神。鐘毓於物則為仙為靈。有歷歷不爽者矣。金城北門樓。上古有狐仙一位。靈顯素著何于昔年間。偶遭凶憫遽罹。仙數當徑。劉君萬昌為之卜。葬於靈神廟側。茲後首倡義擧。爰勒碑銘。而願助者。躩踴于前。樂輸者追隨于後。謹將芳名臚刻於左。｜金州公議會（人名省略）｜光緒三十三年十二月穀旦｜と又次の碑に、｜郡內東靈神廟。有胡大仙墓。屢顯神通。凡郡人之虔誠禮祝。無不靈應。吾儕感激。因而勒諸石。是以任其操勞者。張等賛而成者。吳等數人此擧也。非徒發於一心之善念。窈以表聖德於萬一耳。俯冀大仙保被。郡人佑我吉士福如日起災逐。塵消吾儕有厚望焉。旦以銘感焉。爰為之歌曰。靑山蒼茫。碧海汪洋。大仙之英。天地同壽。日月爭光。｜（人名省略）｜光緒三十四年正月十五日｜とあるが、實は劉氏が酒に醉ふて城壁上に寢てゐた老狐を殺した處、其の祟りを受け、飯を食はんとしても飯がなくなり、或は水を飲まんとすると火になる等種々の奇怪なことが續き重病になつたので、恐れて狐を厚く葬り靈を祀つたのであると云ふ。
