Mothing is keeping me busy! Very busy! With so much to write up, I think the next few posts may be short on text! Last Sunday I did very well in the garden again, with some warm condition again it was pretty much perfect for moths. Best moth was a new for year Tree-lichen Beauty (since then i've added a further two this year which is great to see) A Lesser Common Rustic was also dissected and added to my garden list, it looked a good candidate from external features but these aren't always reliable alone, luck was with me and it was confirmed a couple of days ago. Common Rustics are the commonest moth at the moment with 16 examples recorded. Surprisingly Poplar Grey was a garden first...I'd never expect to see Poplar Lutestring 2 years prior to seeing this species. Dark Sword-grass was my first decent migrant of the year.
