Description
English: The Murderers public house located on Timber Hill in the city of Norwich, Norfolk, England. Although officially the Gardener's Arms, this Timberhill pub is popularly known as the Murderers. The pub sign has the Murderers name on the opposite side. The murderer in question was a 19th century landlord convicted of murdering his wife; although originally sentenced to death this was later commuted to life imprisonment on the grounds of provocation. He eventually died in Parkhurst Prison.
