Notes
  • Significance: Included as open space on both the L'Enfant and Ellicott plans, this intersection comprised of a large circular reservation flanked by four smaller ones, has features landscaped park land since its first improvement in 1872. The residential neighborhood that developed around the circle in the last quarter of the nineteenth century has remained largely intact and is included in the National Register of Historic Places as the Logan Circle Historic District the Statue in the center is also on the National Register as an example of Washington's Civil War statuary.
