Description1830s through house Green Street, St Margarets, Leicester.svg |
A stylised floorplan of a one-up one-down terraced house dating from 1830. It is modelled on one in Green Street, St Margarets Leicester. The coal was kept under the stairs. It has a London cane glazed sink, but no running water. Cooking was done on the range, the register fire upstair would be used when someone was ill. The living room measured 10ft 6 by 11ft 6.
