Description

The 1959 Chevrolet got another new chassis and new styling, it was even lower and wider than 1958, the tail fins extending outward rather than upward, looking like flat wings Things were toned down a bit for the 1960 facelift, a plainer grille and the cats eyes tail lights replaced with the usual triple round lights on the Impala and double on Biscayne and Bel Air. (base model; Biscayne, mid spec: Bel Air and top Impala with white band along rear fender). Chevrolets were also produced in Australia from 1926-68, built by General Motors Holden using modified American bodies. In 1960, only the 4 door Chevrolet sedan was sold there, along side the 4 door Pontiac Laurentian Sedan
