| Description |
The styling on the PA Vauxhall was influenced by America with its tail fins and wrap around windows. All PA Vauxhalls were 4 door saloons and 6 seaters. They were built from 1957-62. Base model was the Velox then upmarket model, the Cresta. This is the 1960 facelift model it got an enlarged grille and the 3 piece rear window went to 1 piece, the tail lights were changed and it got a new engine. (see rear photo). (The earlier model had larger tail lights and 3 piece rear window). Then in 1960, In Australia it was the 1st car to win the Armstrong 500 (in 1960) at Phillip Island with John Roxburgh and Frank Coad at the wheel. This is a tribute to that car.
