| Description |
This is the 3rd and final generation of the Morris Major, they were built by BMC of Australia. The 1st, the 1958 Series I was a badge engineered English Wolseley 1500 or Riley 1.5 but a more basic version, the 1959 Series II had more Australian influence with the body styling, it was longer, stronger with tail fins. The car got a facelift in 1962, with a full width grille, similar to the Oxford Mk VI, different colour flash to the tailfins and Australian developed 1622cc engine. It was replaced by the Morris 1100 in 1964 |
