Description

The Mk III Zephyr replaced the Mk II in 1962 and was replaced by the Mk IV in 1966, although mechanically similar, it got an all new longer, sleeker body with unique concave grille and tail fins. Built in the UK and also assembled in NZ from CKD. The 4 cyl Consul was now the Zephyr 4 (with central grille between the head lights), the Zephyr 6 got a full width grille with central dividing bar, incorporating the headlights, and the upmarket Zodiac, a full width grille with 4 head lights and plush interior. Unique to NZ was the very basic 'Special' with no centre divider in grille, less trim and basic interior.
