Description
English: Ahmed Aarad is op jonge leeftijd vanuit Marokko naar Nederland gekomen, in eerste instantie om behandeld te worden voor neurologische problemen, vervolgens vestigde hij zich permanent in Nederland. Vanaf zijn 18e is hij al werkzaam in de ICT. Hij begon als helpdeskmedewerker bij de Belastingdienst en groeide in minder dan vijf jaar tijd uit tot project manager van nationale en internationale projecten van grote bedrijven en financiële instellingen. In 2010 maakte hij de overstap naar de publieke sector waar hij zijn kennis en ervaring op het gebied van ICT beschikbaar stelt aan de maatschappij. Ahmed is medeoprichter van een stichting die de overheid op transparante en objectieve wijze adviseert op het gebied van ICT. Hierbij ligt de focus op het creëren van een duurzame ICT sector binnen Nederland om minder afhankelijk te zijn van buitenlandse organisaties. Daarnaast is hij betrokken bij verschillende maatschappelijke projecten en werkt hij met jongeren bij de Cyber Werkplaats.
