Summary[edit]

Description
English: James Cameron (1827-1905) was a Scottish born Presbyterian clergyman, educationalist and historian who was appointed to NSW after being ordained in Aberdeen after years of theological study undertaken in Europe. He arrived in Australia November 1853 and was appointed as pastor to the Penrith / Richmond area where he served for 50 years. Cameron was heavily involved in the development of education in Western Sydney and later in life went on to write for magazines and books. The location of his home as pictured in the photograph is either in Windsor or Richmond.
