Description Pvt. 1st Class Michael Clear, paratrooper assigned to 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, provides security with M249 light machine gun during a defensive exercise at Pocek Range in Slovenia as part of Exercise Mountain Shock, Dec. 2, 2016. Mountain Shock is part of the Shock series of Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercises conducted within the U.S. European Command, testing a unit's ability to conduct operations with little or no warning.
