[edit]Description2022-04-14 Saint Peter (called Otočec from 1952) island castle in Dolenjska region, Slovenia, Europe.webm |
English: Krka river hides a small island that hosts a small castle called Otočec (translates to small island, before 1952 it was called Saint Peter).
Castle was first mentioned (in documents) in the 13th century and the walls are said to be from 1252, so this place for sure bears a lot of history. Romantic and prestige, and the only "water" island in Slovenia is now suitable for weddings and a fancy restaurant. |
