English: U.S. Marine Corps Col. David Odom and Sgt. Maj. Mario Fields address Marines with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, after an awards ceremony Oct. 6 at Robertson Barracks, Palmerston, Australia. Odom and Fields congratulated the Marines on their hard work and the amount of effort they’ve shown throughout their time working with 1st Brigade, Royal Australian Army during training exercises, performing community services or immersing in Australian culture. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines in Australia affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our allies and improves interoperability between our forces. Odom and Fields are the commanding officer and sergeant major of 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, respectively. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Angel Serna/Released)
