Summary[edit]

Description
Deutsch: View of the 591st Hof Schlappentag. Schlappentag began for some already at 5 o'clock by musical wake-up calls at prominent citizens of the city of Hof. At 8 o'clock the festive march started at the Schießhäuschen and ran to the town hall (for this purpose parts of the streets were closed). At the city hall at shortly after 9 o'clock there was the receipt by mayor Eva Döhla together with Schützenkommissar with official announcement of the Schlappen Schützenkönig or -queen. At about 10 o'clock the festive march began at the city hall, over old part of town and beyond the Strauß area over the Marienstraße to the Schießhäuschen. The Hof Schlappentag is considered a "national" holiday of Hof and has recently become an intangible cultural heritage. Here the charter of the margraviate is read out as a document from the 15th century and translated into current German. Time in date indicates beginning of recording. The document reports from the past and is particularly relevant, including to Schlappentag as such and its recognition as an intangible cultural heritage. This source material is unedited and can be used for edits. As source material, this file is stored in the archive, for reasons of traceability of any changes from this source file. Here you can see a part of the train in Ludwigstraße.
