Au nord du 16ème parallèle, les troupes nationalistes chinoises sont en charge du désarmement des troupes japonaises (suite à la Conférence de Potsdam (juillet 45). 150 000 soldats entrent en Indochine fin août 1945. Les bureaux de poste militaire française acheminent le courrier des français (civils et militaires) ceux de la poste militaire chinoise celui des chinois (la poste civile est entre les mains des rebelles vietnamiens).

8 bureaux de poste militaire chinois fonctionnent en Indochine (144, 186, 241, 242, 295, 326, 337 et 334) et 6 agences (1303, 1304, 1305, 1308, 1318 et 1330)

Les troupes chinoises quittent le l’Indochine en septembre 1946. Les plis des militaires chinois en Indochine sont difficiles à se procurer.
