Summary[edit]
DescriptionA Flattened Village - geograph.org.uk - 272258.jpg |
English: A Flattened Village This is the site of the original Sandon Village. The story is that in the 18th Century the 'Lord of the Manor' was not happy with the village where it was, so close to his moated house (roughly where the trailer and house in the picture is) so he had the village flattened and moved down the hill to where it is today. His house burned down soon afterwards! |
