POLARIS POINT, Guam (April 11, 2016) – A Sailor assigned to the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) hugs his daughter after the ship returned from deployment, April 11. The return to Guam is Emory S. Land's first, since changing homeport from Diego Garcia to Guam Dec. 23. Emory S. Land is an expeditionary submarine tender conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations.
