* The original volume, from which the first of the annexedPlates is taken, measures fourteen inches and a quarter, by five anda quarter. At the top of the recto of the figure, on the first side ofthe diptych, is the following inscription: anasTasivs pavLvs pkobvs SABINIAN POMPEIVS ANAsTaSIVS. 148 PARIS.
