Summary[edit]

Description
English: A train from Ennis stands in the platform at Athenry. The line from Limerick to Athenry lost its through passenger service in 1976 but it was reinstated in 2010 with 5 daily trains each way to Galway. I had planned to travel through to Athenry from Limerick Junction but unfortunately long-term flooding of the line between Limerick and Ennis necessitated a bus substitute for that section. The train in this view was running from Ennis to Galway and had connected with the bus service from Limerick.
