| Description |
English: Abandoned Navigation Looking towards the River Wreake from a footbridge over the abandoned Eye Kettleby lock which used to allow barges to travel up the river to Melton Mowbray. The river seems considerably lower leading to the conclusion that the lock lifted the barges a considerable height. The water in the foreground seems to be coming from the adjacent farmland and sewage farm rather than from the blocked up lock. |
